Warm Audio WA87JR - FET Condenser Mic (Nickel)

The Warm Audio WA-87jr (Nickel) is a modern take on one of the most revered microphones in studio history: the classic ‘87-style condenser. Built around a dual-backplate, large-diaphragm K87-style capsule that faithfully recreates the response of the original, this microphone captures pristine highs, detailed mids, and tight, focused lows-the sonic signature that has defined countless hit records.

Designed for versatility, the WA-87jr pairs its vintage-accurate capsule with a transformerless, fully discrete FET circuit for ultra-low self-noise and clean, polished sound. With three selectable polar patterns (cardioid, omni, figure-8), a -10 dB pad, and an 80 Hz high-pass filter, this mic adapts seamlessly to vocals, instruments, drum overheads, or even podcasting and streaming. Complete with a professional shockmount, hardmount, and a leather storage pouch, the WA-87jr (Nickel) combines timeless tone with modern reliability-finished in a sleek, studio-ready nickel housing.
